Africa Cup Of Nations Table after Senegal failed to win Today
Senegal were involved in their last game in the group stage of the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) when they played against Malawi today, and it was a lacklustre performance from both teams, especially Senegal, as they failed to produce any goal with their poor display on the pitch.
Going into this match, Cameroon were tagged as the favourites to win by many people, but they failed to bring that to reality, as Malawi that was seem as the underdogs by many, held on to at least snatch a point from this encounter.
Senegal started the game with a very strong line-up full of quality players that included the likes of Edouard Mendy, Sadio Mane, Kalidou Koulibaly, Idrissa Gueye, Kouyate and other star players.
All the big name players that played the game failed to show us what they are capable of, as Malawi were very strong and resilient in holding them off.
As the game started, Senegal’s Sadio Mane missed a good chance in the early minutes, that could have given them the lead, and that was how it was till the end of the game, with Senegal missing chances upon chances. The game later ended in a 0-0 scoreline, and Malawi will be happy to get a point against a very strong opponent like Senegal.
