Speaking on Wednesday, Kanayo begged Buhari to release Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
According to him, the sit-at-home imposed by Kanu’s group has crippled economic activities in the Southeast and will have a ripple effect across states soon.
Kanu has spent over 8 months in detention since he was arrested and brought to Nigeria from Kenya.
